This project was to create a luminary out of 2 materials used before, plus another not used. The pictures show the progress of my design ideas. Also, we had to do Orthographic drawings and a expressive rendition of our luminary.

environmental design project- Dialog

This project was to build a structure with a certain dialog out of 12 skewers and 12 4x6 bristol cards. I do not have a picture of the final yet, it is on display in the lobby of the Studio Arts Building.

here are 3 of 5 of the interior space drawings. For some reason, my scanner would only scan parts of 2 of the pictures... this sketchbook assignment was to draw 5 interior spaces with people in them. ( my favorite is the bathroom one...i thought it might lighten somebody's mood...)

Anything Project

These are the pictures of my latest project, which was to build anything I wanted out of 12 skewers of equal size, and 12 planes of bristol board which had to be 4x6. The first picture is my sketch model, the second is my "rough draft" model and the third is the final. I will be adding pictures of my orthographic drawings later, which will be of the final model...obviously. :)

Sketchbook

sketchbook assignment - This sketchbook was to pick 5 different leaves and then do a negative space, blind contour, contour, and a shadow drawing...here are the negative space and blind contour drawings.

This project's guidlines consisted of making a 4x4 box out of bristol paper, accentuate the edges and incorporate straws with a 8x8 base.

Environmental Design Project 2

This is the project where we had to make a container out of paper, fabric and thread for a special object. My special object was a little jade turtle that a friend gave me. Inside the box is a bed and a mini pillow for the turtle to sit on, so the box is like his bedroom. The pattern on the box resembles a turtle shell.

First HW Assignment ( IARc 1st year)

This assignment was to find ten food items and draw them detailed with pen. I was really nervous at first, because I was taught to NEVER start in pen. ALWAYS USE PENCIL!! So, heres what became of that lesson Mrs. Kathy!! :)

First Project

This is my very first project for Environmental Design. The guidelines for this project were to join two natural artifacts together with a linear object. I chose to join a stick with dead leaves, and a half dead leaf, together with a piece of ivy. Here is a photo

My favorite sketchblog is Crack Skull Bob's. I like this sketchblog because not only does it have a VERY unique name, it is filled with wonderful sketches of everyday things, and people he encounters. Each post has a story behind the "doodles", such as the Sunday morning talking faces, or the nice russian lady at the doughnut shop, and even the collage of people at Starbucks and the random "person" at the fair grounds.
